If you use plot (x,y,'.','MarkerSize',sz) then for sz<6 the dots are tiny (probably 1x1 pixel) and for sz>=6 they are quite large. If you output as an eps/pdf then the dot size is fine - no nasty size jumps. Is there a way to get the matlab figure window to correctly reflect the marker size? Sign in to comment. The figure window stopped responding to commands. The figure window size does not change when I try to resize it using set(gcf, [ four values]) which I have been using for sometime now. I have entered all the usual commands I normally use (from the command window) but it has no effects. It seems the window size is fixed so I need to make flexible.
How do I change the marker size for a plot? You can change the marker size for a line plot by setting the “MarkerSize” property, either as a name-value pair or by accessing the “Line” object.
how to set a marker at one specific ? hello, is this marking in plot is possible without writing code, and putting mark in plot in figure editor, and for sinosoidal curve i have only x data, i dont have y data, but i need to mark on curve, means that i will give x value, based on x value it should place on curve exactly on sinosoidal curve,
Let the line discretely graphed by (XVec,YVec) be "dense" in the sense that N=length(XVec) is large, and dx=XVec(2)-XVec(1) is small (assuming an equally spaced grid). If, in addition, the graph of this line is relatively smooth, then there is a better solution which uses the existing Matlab R2016a framework more easily.
How do I change the font size for text in my figure ? I am running Matlab 2013b on Ubuntu 12.04LTS. Similar as many here, changing labels/legend properties works fine but setting the axis ticklabel fontname/size was not working - at least, the axis property list reflected the change, but the window plot was not rendering to the new font settings.
How do I extract data points from a plot? at the MATLAB Command Window. If you have more than one line on the plot, the GET function will return a cell array. To retrieve the numbers inside of this cell array, use indexing.
Figure window border space, specified as the comma-separated pair consisting of 'Border' and either 'tight' or 'loose'.When set to 'loose', the figure window includes space around the image in the figure. When set to 'tight', the figure window does not include any space around the image in the figure.
How can I make window to be fullscreen ? I have a question about matlab GUI. I'm programming an aplication only about one window and a have quite a lot buttons etc. So I would appreciate if I could made the gui window to be fullscreen. For example by default 1366 x 768 on normal fullscreen like in Windows.
